What is a Vanity number?

There are three letters under each number on telephone and mobile phone keypads. These letters are also used to represent numbers, which can spell out names or phrases.

FAQ:

1st Question: What happens when my vanity number is an embarrassing word?
Answer: You can of course keep to yourself and hope that nobody in your circle of friends finds out about it;-) but you have to expect that almost everyone will soon have the "My Vanity Number" app on their phone. At the moment this app is catching on fast.
The best thing to do is to think of a cool individual Vanity, use "FIND NUMBER" to see the corresponding number, and request that number from your phone provider.

2nd Question: I have showed my girlfriend her embarrassing vanity. Now she's mad! What should I do?
Answer: The best way to make it up to her is to think of a nice vanity for her. Ideally, something about "love", because this is what your relationship is all about;-)
Now the Vanity "only" needs to be ordered. Read on to step 3 and 4.


3rd Question: I haven’t found anything nice in my number, what can I do now?
Answer: Be a bit creative and think about your ideal Vanity! Type it in the menu under "FIND NUMBER" and voila! The necessary number for the desired Vanity number is displayed. Now you can ask your telecom and mobile provider about the availability of the number and order it.


4th Question: I want to sign a new contract for a phone or purchase a new pre-paid SIM card, what should I consider?
Answer: With service numbers such as (0180) the order is part of the choice of number for a long time for good manners. For some time now mobile operators have been offering the choice of the number before signing the contract. As for a pre-paid mobile phone tariff, you’re already stuck with the future number as can be seen on the package. You only have to pick out the right box, so check out the coolness factor of the number before you buy with "FIND VANITY";-) If you can’t find a good pre-paid box, try looking in another shop.
